Update on the "phoenix" house

After a fire more than 20 years ago, the "phoenix house" of North Central Troy resurrected this year as an owner-occupied, two-family home. Habitat homeowner Jahsiah purchased the home, which she helped build, for herself and her two young sons.

The house was rebuilt on its original foundation, and the facade resurrected brick-by-brick to preserve its matching facade along the row of stone-faced homes in North Central, Troy. Someone said it would have been an "architectural crime" to tear it down. Read now.
